Compelling Compositions

In your first classroom session, you’ll learn how to effectively use light, color, form and other elements to create visually compelling images. For your off-site session, your instructor will guide you in a variety of hands-on exercises to implement what you’ve learned. Finally, you’ll receive constructive feedback on your work, helping you to improve your composition skills and develop a personal style.

  • Adding depth to your photographs
  • Using color, value, line and other elements in your compositions
  • Lens choice as a factor in composition
  • Communicate ideas and/or emotions with perspective

By the end of the class, you will have a solid understanding of the principles of composition and be able to apply them to your own photography projects.
